The Big Den mural was done by none other than Staten Island's own Gano Grills, who is a graffiti artist, and also an actor, starring in Spike Lee's "Bamboozled" and a film which is about the graffiti culture, and where Grills shows off his talents called "Bomb the System".

Pio Canini mural on Townsend St.

Pio Canini, along with 11 others, were killed when the Andrew J. Barberi ferryboat crashed into a pier at the St. George Ferry Terminal on October 15, 2003. It was a tragic day in Staten Island history, and one that will never be forgotten. Mr. Canini was a carpenter who lived in Clifton, where this beautiful mural, dedicated to his memory, rests on the side of a building.
